OP 19 December, 2019 - 12:11 AM

Literally every time i attempt to download software from this forum, its a rat. I'm 3 for 3 now.
Like wise each time the thread in which the malware came from was
-- 10+ pages,
-- had not one person mentioning to be careful
-- originated from a thread was old as fuck.
The amount of people getting ratted on this forum must be off the charts. It's really not that hard to figure out, i understand its a big forum and there is a lot of content but this is just carelessness / lazyness on the part of the staff and its a bad look.
By the way this is not speculation. Let me provide some proof.
Thread of origin: https://cracked.to/Thread-BEST-MINECRAFT...aid?page=1
FIle Origin: https://www.upload.ee/files/10776650/Min...r.rar.html
Software used to analyze: Executable File Explorer for OS/2, NE, PE32, PE32+ and VxD file types
Proof of malicious code:
So as you can see there is a string here in the exe referencing a btc clipper.
This thread is 3 weeks old and over 12 pages long.
Now lets take a look at the OP who posted it:
Wat.
So this guy has 2k+ likes, soild rep, and is posting obvious malware with no repercussion. Is it possible that he did not realize this was a rat? Maybe. But this file is not an actual minecraft checker.
This leaves us with three possible scenarios for OP
1. OP had no knowledge this was a rat because he is just manically reuploading files for clout without even taking the time to open the files himself. (The lazy skid scenario)
2. OP opened the files and got ratted and just figured it wasnt working out for him and he should upload anyways ( The actually retarded scenario)
3. OP uploaded a rat knowingly with malicious intent ( The likely scenario)
The thing that really strikes me though is that this thread is 3 weeks old and 12 pages long.
A solid amount of people got owned by that thread.
And again this is not the first time I have seen this here. I have actually never downloaded software from this forum which WASNT a rat, thats how bad this problem is.
This guy is a reputed member of the forums just blatantly uploading a btc clipper renamed to HQASFFFFMCCHECKER.EXE
This is bad. Staff should have a serious meeting about this if they give even a slight fuck about this forum.
P.S
Dear Staff
Dont be mad at me (although i dont give a fuck if you are), i'm just the messenger here, this is an attempt at a reality check. You can do better.
