but if we think like that, it would mean that all people who don't have the skills to analyze the tools they share on the forum should be punished for sharing malware without realizing it.

We must take into consideration that people are sometimes innocent and do not have the same skills as some people.

I also agree with what @ForlaxP says, the forum should have a team of disinfectors to clean the forum. We are talking about the forum cracked.to which is HUGE with thousands of messages per day etc....

There is a need for moderation and more, there is not enough staff for the size of the forum. (+600K members)

I know @AlekssTheFiend it's my friend, and I made him discover the forum, I told him that for me it was the best forum today and he came here and realized that it was the truth. So he started sharing things because he wanted to contribute to the forums and add new regular content. He has a good reputation and I can tell you from knowing him that the malware domain is absolutely not his domain. He does not have any skills in malware / RAT / Bitocin mining etc....

So banning him for a few things he's presumed innocent of, I find that so unfair. You need to take the time to discuss and talk with the people in question before banning someone simply by pressing the BAN button.



@Red is telling the truth the desinfectors team must come back to avoid this kind of thing on the forum.

If you decide to create a disinfector team, i'm in.

Anyway, someone in the staff should create a single topic about malware analysis, containing some tips and steps to check a tool before posting it.

By steps, i don't say to learn poeple using virustotal, which is actually bypassable by 50k methods, just some basic thing to know about reverse engineering, and some tools to do it.

You could even make a challenge out of it for allow poeple to post tools in the forum, like some string to extract from a fake malware, like a unpackme challenge.

Well yes malware is present but it's mostly posted by LQ users ( unlike this case )
User should always check the tools they post.
I am sure mods are doing their work but some minor slip ups happen.
Hope this doesn't happen in the future.

The problem witth the old disenfector team, was that there was a lot of tools uploaded daily, but the team was not checking if t had malwares or not, so the tools were blocked ! I remember just before they remove the disenfector, there was more than 100 tools blocked, because they weren't checked. If we make the disenfector come back, they must do their work !

Why you don't block new poeple from creating a thread on these forums, for example today https://cracked.to/HaxS create 3 thread with 3 malware, without even having 1 single post and with fresh account.

If the problem is that you have too many poeple posting, filter them.

You can also create 2 subforum "unverified" "verified" and disinfector can verify one by one and move when it's good, but poeple can still download from unverified forum, so everyone is happy.

There's plenty of solutions here.
