A Samara businessman sent his 43-year-old employee to buy carrots in Volgograd, giving him 3 million rubles for this. However, the truck driver did not return from the trip at the appointed time, as a result of which the entrepreneur contacted law enforcement agencies.
As reported by the UMVD for the Volgograd Region, an empty, abandoned truck was found on the side of the road in the Gorodishchensky District. The driver was not at his workplace. He was subsequently found, which made it possible to clarify the circumstances of the case.
It turned out that instead of buying carrots, the truck driver decided to try his luck in gambling, but luck did not smile on the man.
"My boss gave me 3 million to buy carrots. I lost 505 thousand rubles of that money," said the gambling enthusiast.
— The driver abandoned the car out of fear of punishment. However, he will hardly be able to avoid responsibility — the man faces a prison term for fraud.
