S/NES Mini, Sega Genesis Mini, TurboGrafx-16 Mini, C64 Mini, PlayStation Classic, Atari/ColecoVision/Intellivsion Flashback, etc. There's an always expanding range of these miniature consoles that can only (officially) play a selection of built-in games.
What's your take on these?
I think the shrunk designs are cute, but I don't like the idea of being limited to whatever's loaded on them. I'm also not a boomer, so I know how to load up emulators to run on my phone, computer and Android box. I feel like a lot of these are bought as gifts, the person plays with it once or twice and then it gets shoved back into the box and the person goes back to playing current gen games.
