The article you point to basically says, "If you are running a small blog only your mom needs, hcaptcha is overboard"
You may find Hcaptcha annoying now, but you'll be more annoyed if they took away hcaptcha and all you got was a 404 page instead. MY PGP VERIFY MY IDENTITY BEFORE DOING BUSINESS
