I'll try to explain the best way I can, but if you can't understand then I'll provide a YT Video link so it's easier to understand.
Please Pin this Thread for a few days, at least till the end of Covid-19, or not your wish, idk...
So, making medicines were/are a tedious process and takes much trial and error, with the power of PCs, doctors can *simulate* how protein forms and folds, and knowing this will help doctors create/design new medicines. But, the problem is it takes a lot of CPU and/or Graphics(GPU's) Power to simulate the protein folding. So, with the software called Folding@Home, you can use your idle GPU's power to help simulate proteins folding and potentially finding a cure. It's similar to crypto mining, the difference is it will help people out (potentially make humanity survive), instead of dumping money into crypto which (maybe) you won't ever get back.
(GPU = Graphics Processing Unit = Graphics Card)
Here's their site where you can download it: Foldingathome.org
Software is available in Windows, Mac, and many Linux Distros like Fedora, Ubuntu, Redhat, mint, etc.: Different supported OS alternative link

I do not think this thread will receive any popularity, but I'm trying the best I can to help out. People may think this method is silly, but as I said I'm just trying to help.
