YouTube Vanced discontinued due to legal reasons

YouTube Vanced posted an announcement on their Telegram channel. According to the post, they are going discontinue Vanced project and all download links will be taken down.

Vanced stated that they are shutting down the project due to legal reason. Probably, they’ve received a legal order from Google or YouTube legal team.

They also clarified that the currently installed version of YouTube Vanced will continue to work. So, if you already have YouTube Vanced installed on your phone, then you don’t need to worry about it.

It's good that these changes won't affect those who already have the app installed, but it's a shame that this is the case.

Take a look into YouTube ReVanced (https://www.reddit.com/r/revancedapp/), made to do the same thing as Vanced but without breaking the ToS, to never get shut down again.

Very much a work in progress but it kinda works now and is still a developing project, just started after vanced got the cease and desist.

youtube vanced still works under diff team. i use that and x manager for spotify. in fact, most of my apps are vanced or mod versions. way better than stock.
