can we find lost phone using IMEI number by our-self?

I have seen some hacking scene in movies when they enter the IMEI number, it is automatically found the location of the lost phone. I have searched on google, but I didn't get any proper answer for that. Even my ambition is to be a Hacker. So, probably I need to know these things. Please explain to me. if it is true to explain how to do that.

Its not possible to find the location of a phone from the IMEI number unless you have direct access to the phone company systems. Anyone that says they can is just scamming you.

If you have access to the phone company systems then yeah you can but theres no software or anything you can download. LE will have special hardware or direct access to the phone company systems.
Honestly its been asked and researched loads of times - theres no way to do it unless you work at a phone company and have access to those systems.
