For noobs, I would recommend checking out the Cracking Tutorials section. Some guides are better than others. Additionally, I would suggest any newcomers read the thread Cracked.io Lingos.

For more questions about using a specific tool, you can create a thread in the Pentesting Help section.

Also...

A checker is usually a program or script that checks a website or service to see if something works or not.  The term can apply to anything from checking a username / password combo against a website authentication, the existence of a username or email on a site, whether or not a promo code or auth code is valid, if a proxy server is up or down, etc.
