A lot of people know this but, Coca-Cola used to have cocaine in it. Hopefully that was interesting enough!

Did you know that there's this chemical called PTC? It tastes very bitter to only people who have two copies of a certain gene. The people who have those copies are called "supertasters" and they experience more intense taste sensations than a non super taster. Hope that was interesting!

Did you know that You could produce enough saliva in a year to fill two bathtubs. Production varies considerably from person to person, but on average most people produce 0.7 liters of saliva per day which is enough to fill two medium sized bathtubs a year.

Most people think that milk is actually helpful for your bones, but in reality it does nothing for you after your baby years. The amount of calcium in milk does literally nothing for your bones. Your body creates enough calcium already to sustain your bones, but there are other foods out there that have greater amount of it that can help infinitely more than milk. in fact, drinking milk after infancy is a big cause for lactose intolerance. We create an enzyme in our body that counter acts lactose, but after a certain time we stop producing it. Also the whole "Got Milk?" campaign was a ploy to drive milk sales and it worked PHENOMENALLY.

Also (since on the topic of dairy), cheese is a huge obsession in America. At one point we created so much of it that no one was eating it fast enough. So again to drive sales and to get people to eat more cheese, fast food started putting it on EVERYTHING. Burgers, fries, tacos, hotdogs, pretzels, etc. Ever since then it became a huge part of our food culture and is almost synonymous with certain foods.

Those are just two off the the top of my head.

Did you know that the tear in the Ozone layer over Antarctica is on its course to fully heal by the later half of this century.
