There seems to be a misunderstanding here, as we did stick by the original as well as the ONLY agreement.
Our escrow system works on pre-agreed amounts for everyone's protection. The initial agreement and security deposit was for $186 and not $193, which was clearly communicated and accepted by both parties.
Order of events:
Trade agreement: $186
Security deposit locked: $186
User sends: $193 ($7 higher than the agreed amount)
User requests amount change AFTER making the payment
Request was never accepted by other party and expired
Exchange completed for original agreed amount
For me this isn't about $7, it's about maintaining the integrity of our escrow system. If we allow users to:
Send different amounts than agreed
Change terms after payment
Modify escrow amounts post-transaction
We expose ourselves and our users to significant risks and potential scams.
