- Contacted Eybot to develop a tool for tracking Spotify streams with additional features, including setup on my web host.
- Agreed on a price of €350.
- When I asked about the timeline, Eybot said: "It will take 48h."
- Paid 50% upfront (€175) and was added to a group with Eybot's coder.
- Sent all relevant details and examples to guide the development, as I had previously tried to get a similar tool developed via Fiverr but the freelancer became unresponsive.
- Eybot’s coder said he would start, but I didn’t hear anything for 2–3 days.
- Contacted Eybot privately to check on the progress.
- The coder then complained that Spotify API couldn’t track streams and suggested using a different API.
- I advised using Chromedriver (as a previous Fiverr freelancer did).
- The coder responded that it wasn’t possible and asked me to explain how to do it (since when am I the coder?).
- Followed up with Eybot since the promised 48 hours had passed, but there was still no update or product.
- Received a video demo of how the tool would function.
- Eybot requested the second payment of €175 to deliver the script and handle the setup.
- Made the second payment.
- Coder (Lyphen) sent setup instructions privately, despite the agreement that they would handle the setup.
- Setup failed initially on Hostinger and cPanel.
- The coder suggested switching to Railway.app, which cost an additional $5.
- Provided login details, and the coder said, "I’ll check it."
- Later, I was instructed to upload files via GitHub and complete the setup myself.
- Eventually, the website was accessible, but upon trying to add a link to track a Spotify song, I encountered an Internal Server Error.
- The coder claimed the issue wasn’t with the code, which didn’t make sense since the code and instructions came directly from him.
- Sent Eybot a message at 00:53 asking to cancel the project due to delays and the lack of results.
- At 03:05, Lyphen suddenly asked for a code to log in, but I was asleep at the time.
- Reiterated to Eybot in the morning that I no longer needed the tool. I also pointed out that they only seemed to respond when money was involved.
- Suspected the code was generated using AI/ChatGPT, as every command had detailed comments next to it. If using ChatGPT qualifies someone as a coder, I’m at a loss for words.
Missing Features:
- The tool doesn’t work (Internal Server Error when adding a link).
- No password functionality, despite the coder claiming it would take "10 minutes" to implement.
- Switch between Daily Stream Chart and Total Stream Chart on the dashboard is missing.
- View Track Daily Graph is missing.
- Total Stream Count since adding is missing on the dashboard
- Unable to include more evidence (e.g., screenshots) as I was removed from the group.
- I only have private conversations with Eybot and Lyphen as proof.
