Using a VPN to login to your Facebook/Google account does make you totally anonymous Nobody could break the code of who is logging into your personal accounts as long as you use a VPN when you do bad things
THIS is WHY an OpSec section is needed, can name it OpSecSecTion

dude
No one is anonymous. Anonymous people don't surf regular surface web there is a reason they are using the dark web, deep web, and other forms of web Freenet, IFPS, and others.
VPN is just for changing geolocation. That's it... there are many ways through which you are being tracked, even if you use VPN.
Have you ever heard about javascript? Fingerprinting? Supercookies? and IDK what other hidden ways.
Even if we have an opsec section, I don't think people can follow it 100%. To gain privacy, you have to compromise your comfort, which I am sure 99% of users of the forum will not do. they use google chrome, brave to surf the internet what are you expecting from them
and if they want opsec, there are already many threads in this forum as well. Just search 'opsec' or search in GitHub, Reddit, internet. You will find many lines about it, guides .. you can follow them uf you want

Session is based in Australia, which is basically the western china - privacy wise. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.
Yes, it's based in Australia, but Session has no control over the Oxen Service Node network routing and storing encrypted messages, meaning that even if the Australian government forced Session's developers to backdoor their application, they wouldn't be able to break the encryption or spy on their users. Session is open source, and many of their developers reside outside of Australia, where Australian entities have no power to force them to sneak a backdoor or prevent them from patching it.
I'm not saying it's the perfect IM application, and I'm not a big fan of the $OXEN token, but it does the job. The average Cracked user doesn't need Snowden-like opsec, but it would be better for everyone if people stopped using Discord for cybercrime. That's why I named those four applications, because they're undoubtedly better than Discord, and they don't require much technical knowledge, though I would recommend Session over an outdated, Zoom-owned Keybase.

Discord features are amazing, I guess that's why everybody uses it. I use https://gitlab.com/An0/SimpleDiscordCrypt but ye I won't use discord for "cybercrime"
The only good Discord alternative It's Rocket.Chat? It's like Discord/Slack and I think it's more or less ok for these kind of things since you can self-host it? Idk

Even if they might not be able to make a backdoor, the government will still be able to shut the service down.
I prefer to use signal. It's extremely easy to get a fake number anonymously. I've forced all of my friends to switch
