Hi Today, I wanted to share with you something a bit special. I never saw this here so yeah... I found this article really interesting, and I think than 99% of the people will never hear about it unless I talk about it here, so I translate it to English and wanted to share this with you!
Regrets, leader's enemy.

Whatever your age and your activities decide is an essential part of your life. If one asks to leaders: "How would you summarize in few words, the art of management?"the answer that most often comes is: "Know how to decide." The art of deciding is the kernel of the manager's job and "know how to decide" is the foundation of leadership.
Settle... And waive.
This is from what one can recognize leaders in all their diversity. They are men and womans, politics, business man, Cracked HQ members... But also "crew leader", "the one we like to follow", because leadership is not a matter of status, sex, age, or skin color. We are fascinated by those men and womans who knows how to settle, arbitrate, choose, without any hesitation, without being inhabited by doubts, and never come back on their words without any regrets and remorse without trying to debate or justify themselves. They fascinate because in front of decisions, even with the greatest willing, the average people dither, weigh the pros and cons, says yes, says no, maybe... It's a matter of taking the "right path" et mostly, of not regretting. However, the expectation of the possible regrets paralyses. The exercise of choosing can then look like a mountain to climb. Especialy since deciding is also waiving "another possibility" and one need to accept this waives, understand that this alternative doesn't exists anymore. We cannot use any "if" or "I would have." The leadership is not the capacity of taking good decisions in the absolute, but rather understand that an optimal decision is the one, in which we believe and in which we will commit our courage energy skills and convince other to follow it.
Carrying to a desired future
Because what distinguishes a leader, it's the coherence between his choices. For his teams, his decisions "manage the world" et give it a meaning. He will be followed with willing and determination. The leadership defines himself by this capacity of deciding in order to go towards a desired future and shared by all. Regret can't be part of the equation. If the decision shows itself as I inadequate or loosing, it will be time to "turn it into something" and to learn from what seems to be an error. The decision was taken from fake information? To fast? While declining contradictory advise? Without forecasting the evolution of a changing environment.The best state of mind vis-à-vis a bad decision consists in review its process, in order to avoid of doing again the same error.
Remember now and forever what Nelson Mandela said: "sometimes we succeed sometimes we fail".
