Did not try any updates, but the 2023 base installation works fine with the changes in this post, the key word is "activate your product" -- the activation bypass works as usual as does the edition switcher. Looks like it's a 64-bit app this time around instead of 32 bit, but elements look very similar otherwise.

This means there is a chance to not having to sign into the account as indicated by How do I install and activate my TurboTax Desktop product? (intuit.com)? But probably upon updates, this old solution will not work? I don't understand why someone would have 5 of their own returns to file. It's meant to be shared.

I am afraid that what Beleami indicated above you could mean the old trick would not work for TT2023. It certainly worked for TT2022 up to November 2023.
