Nov 2022: NOTE: TT2022 Has been released. This version is TT2021. Please wait a month or so for it to be uploaded to this forum.

The wait is over! First off, someone here has my name from other forums and my ipt account got deleted due to inactivity. I have incremented to the (worse) RX8. Still rotary powered though. I have been a cracker for over a decade but have decided to bring this tax software with instructions to all - especially since TT no longer has a fully free version. Sharing the love! Please +rep.

Hidden section has vanilla ISO rip and manual crack instructions. For full disclosure, I have gotten this to a point of working but haven't gone through the full filing process. I will update the hidden section as I learn more if there are filing issues that need more code work. PM me only if you have different version you'd like me to look at or if file needs reupload or if there are additional activation issues preventing use of program - please provide full instruction to reproduce where you're at. Most other requests will be ignored.

thx

Does anyone know the code to download the Michigan State return, using the regedit method and "mi" does not work - other states work fine but not Michigan.

Thanks

Anyone able to get a Michigan state return to download?  The regedit method works for other states but not when using "mi"?  Any help would be appreciated.  Thanks.

I saw similar threads before. And I had the same problem downloading CA but others.

Problem is once you proceed to state tax as you worked on Federal, TT downloads an appropriate state automatically. Hence, you are stuck with an unusable state. At this point, registry can't get rid of or add again the sate that TT had downloaded.

I suggest restore PC prior to TT. I did reinstall windows, then I was able to install the state that I needed and more by editing registry.

Thanks to premsuni.

I'm all set, never mind.  Once the MI state return finally downloaded I needed to go back and re-edit the DLL's referring to the state info over again.  Everything else worked perfect.

Thanks, Sunny

What worked for me to get free state without having to sign-in was to change the following:

// Intuit.Ctg.Wte.Service.Entitlement.EntitlementService
public virtual int GetAvailableFreeStates()
{
    return 1;
}

For the Free State Filing, the instructions say do not do that fix until all forms and completed and ready to file.  But I want to early file one form now, and file some other forms for my family members later.  Is there a problem completing steps SF.2.1 to SF.2.7 before working on other tax returns later?  What is the issue with doing that?

Thanks!
