Any updates on resetting the efile counter to efile more than 5 returns?  I have several family members I usually assist and the previous method used last year does not appear to be working for me.

Close TurboTax
End intuit task in task manager (if active)
Go to C:\users\your user\appdata\roaming and delete intuit folder

recreate the entire tree in regedit using the instructions.  If you dont see the TY23, create new Key and and keep creating any parts of the tree you need, going until you get to needing to create the string values.

I just checked, my corporate state downloaded and is working fine.

This (hr911's TT Biz 2023 crack) does not work.

I get as far as editing the registry, but the TY23 key is not where it’s supposed to be (or is not there at all).

I get a “Forms are missing” error and the app closes.

Try a fresh Vm or machine or uninstall Turbotax Business completely and then try again.  Monitor what dlls you are fixing and whether they actually got changed by dnspy.
The one mistake I kept making was not to save the modules after editing the hacks.  Also, try using the hacks one by one, ie. remove the splash, you should consistently see the same errors as each hack gets implemented.

Also, before attempting ANY hacks, make sure Turbotax Business is loading and starting up fine.  If this is the case, YOU CAN HACK IT!  Make that your first goal.

Thanks for the the time and effort to get all these instructions.  I was attempting to fix the 2023 Business version after editing the superpatch to install it but have run into a snag and haven't been able to figure out how to get around the "your configuration has been modified (prd.ini, startup). Please re-install" error message.  Does anyone know if there's a non-superpatch installer for the business version?  Thanks in advance if anyone is able to help.

Here's the modded Intuit.Ctg.Wte.Service.dll for TT2023 version: 2023.47.20.44.

Here's the state reg. 

1. Right click and then click on Edit, file will be opened in notepad.
   
2. Find a string w$$iperStateIS in both places and update.
   
3. Change second two letters $$ to your state abbreviations for example for New York you have to make it wnyiperStateIS / for California you have to make it wcaiperStateIS. Note: Don't replace anything else than these two letters.
   
4. Save the file.
   
5. Run file by double clicking on it > Click Yes > Click Ok
   
6. Run Turbotax 2023 (It should install some updates / download state before starting, if not then once it's open just click on online and check for updates).

Have you tried this with the new installer? According to your config it was on installer ver 023.000.0197, while the newest one is 023.000.0242. The config.xml that comes with the installer is different from yours.

And yes, I can get it to launch but it immediately crashes with error 214.

Thanks that did the trick.  Alternatively, looks like just deleting or renaming the Intuit\TurboTax\TY23 directory would be good enough.  Better than previous method of editing the XML file.  Thx again!

My bad, all versions of the Person Turbotax are in the installer that has been already linked throughout this thread.
