On the contrary, it promotes deception and obsessive reposting of anything that leechers can find interesting. That is because leechers represent the vast majority of the active users and are therefore "in charge" of selecting and rewarding the content they like: porn, most of the time, which is why we no longer have a like button in porn-related forums anymore. Because people realized they could exploit leechers to get likes faster.

If your only reason to stay on Cracked is to improve your stats, you're inherently part of the problem because users aspiring to build a reputation on the site will look at you and mimic your posting habits, and the cycle will go on until the influx of burnt-out people leaving the site is considerably higher than those joining.

Unfortunately, it will take time to change the site. J_S is overloaded with work, so take a break, and once you come back, aim at quality instead of quantity. But don't expect significant changes; as I said, quality is not rewarded enough at the moment.
