Supreme Scam Refund Question

Just a question, if someone sends you 1 BTC, then worth 50k$, and after some time you want a refund and the seller agrees, but now 1 BTC worth 40k$ does he refund 1 BTC or 50k$ at the time of refunding? Incase BTC value dropped/rose?

What if the buyer says, "Oh, I was going to cashout 50k$ before I bought your product, and now it doesn't work, so I want to be refunded 50k$ because it's not my fault and I paid 50k$ for it"
