An account can experience multiple rapes in it's lifetime.   On numerous occasions I've seen users change passwords back to something that was hacked previously. They're also useful for finding hits on correlating and analogous sites due to password reuse. 

Having old combos lying around is never a bad thing. I agree with locking them after a certain amount of time to prevent necro-posting though.

I have closed replies on old threads older than 1 month, to avoid member rank bumping those threads.

Deleting isn't an option here. Closing replies on those threads do work.
